Time to Take Out the Trash

Your Grandma was right, the company you keep is a reflection of who you are, and who you will become.

A very smart person once told me that my income would be the average of the income of the friends I spent most time with.  I was like ….whhhhaaaattt…. because I really like having money, I like earning it and I like using it to do fun things and buy nice things.

So in my tender young 20’s, anything that older wiser people told me about how my finances would be impacted, OH… I listened.

I’ve found that advice to be true, but you know what’s another kind of wealth?

Vibes.

Of course I bring it back to the vibes!

Vibes are also a kind of currency!

When someone has good vibes - a kindness about them, a playfulness, generosity, a sense of humour, a generally positive outlook - you want this person around, and it lifts the overall vibe of the group - the collective.

Guess what happens when someones vibes are trash? Yea, the collective vibe drops dramatically.

Your overall vibe is deeply impacted by the people you choose to spend your time with and communicate with. Are you hanging out with energy drains, with people who always find the negative side of a situation, who don’t celebrate when you win at something but who does seem to be suspiciously pleased when you fail?

Pay attention and do some house keeping. If you’ve been getting these newsletters long enough you can probably predict what’s coming next.

Yes.

I’m saying it.

AGAIN.

B O U N D A R I E S.

Tune in, pay attention, clean house where necessary. You’re allowed to take stock of and be in charge of your own vibes.  It isn’t easy to unfriend people, and I’m not saying to be cruel, by any means. But tuning into what feels good for you and then obeying your intuition and using your voice to be authentic and represent what you know feels good to you will have major rewards.

You’ll make space for  more high vibe people and experiences to come into your life!

AND YES, ALSO MORE MONEY.

It might also be the perfect wake up call for someone who’s been a drag forever when you suddenly don’t have time for their BS anymore for them to do some self-evaluation and cheer the fuck up. Your looking out for and protecting your OWN vibes sets a positive example and is an act of love.

The point of this story is, you deserve to feel good and by paying attention to the company you keep and doing some social house keeping when necessary, it’s going to be a lot easier to feel good consistently.
